Deb Silver – Director
Deb Silver stepped into her role as Hillel Director in August 2019. She comes to the Jewish Studies Program after several years at Capital Camps, a Jewish overnight camp in Waynesboro, PA, where she was responsible for recruitment and marketing. During her time with Capital Camps (based in Rockville, MD), Deb also served as a BBYO advisor and as a facilitator for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s JTeen Philanthropy program. She earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Salisbury University. Deb is excited to bring her skills and experiences from various Jewish communal organizations to strengthen Jewish student life at the College of Charleston, and to help students find their home away from home at Hillel.
Pamela Partridge – Associate Director
Pamela Partridge is entering into her third year at Hillel. Previously the Engagement Associate, she is excited to be stepping up into her new role as Associate Director. Pamela attended Stetson University, located in DeLand, FL, for two years where she helped restart their now thriving Hillel. She then transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill, and became an active member in Hillel, serving on the leadership team. Pamela graduated in 2017 with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Jewish Studies. Over the past 2 years, Pamela has seen Hillel transform to adapt to the growing needs of the students and is thrilled to be a part of Hillel’s continued growth and expansion.
